One thing your mind may strike that why not to hide the Feed URL of our blogs? Unfortunately, Feed URL is not a private URL so anyone can find your RSS feed URL. The default RSS feed URL for self hosted WordPress blog is www.domain.com/feed/. You may setup FeedBurner feed for your WordPress blog, and also you can redirect the existing WordPress feed to the FeedBurner feed.

Another thing, do not display the full content into your RSS feed so that when someone re-published your articles, only published the excerpt. In that case, you have a full article, and your re-published article has some excerpt so all the credit goes to your article. In addition, you may generate some decent traffic to your blogs when someone re-published your articles, and getting back a dofollow backlink to the original source. If you are using SEO by Yoast plugin (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-seo/),

  • Go to WordPress admin panel » SEO » RSS, you will see two options, content to put before each post in the feed, and content to put after each post in the feed. So you can decide where to put your content.   • Install and activate RSS footer plugin to your WordPress blog, and edit the footer option as I mentioned above.
